Ocean blue sailing yacht save the date

A nautical, breezy save the date

An online save the date is a short web page that gives guests the date and place of an event well in advance, before the full invitation is sent. This one is made for a celebration on the water. A wide photo of a classic sailing yacht with full white sails on the open sea opens the page. Below it, the heading ’ALL ABOARD’ and the name of the event stand in deep ocean blue in a sturdy slab serif, with the date and port city in a light, clean font on a cream card.

It suits companies celebrating an anniversary with staff, clients or partners, as well as clubs and families planning a boat trip. The closing line, ’Boarding details and invitation to follow’, makes clear that times and the pier follow later. You send one link by email. Guests open it on their phone, add the date to their calendar and let you know early if they will join. Later, a full business invitation online can follow in the same style.
